Meet Jacob, the winner of OMK’s Courageous Kids of 2020 Contest in the @USAirForce (Severely Injured) category!

Jacob, 3, is the son of an U.S. Air Force Veteran who underwent treatment for severe combat-related injuries in 2020.

“Jacob is my miracle child,” said Angela, Jacob’s mother. “From the start he has been a fighter. Jacob was so small because he was born premature. He has grown to be in the 90th percentile of his peers, and has exceeding strength and resilience beyond his years. I truly believe that he was able to develop adaptability early on to survive.” ° “Jacob is the epitome of a military child having courage. During my recovery from combat injuries, having that hardship physically and mentally/emotionally with Jacob gave me a newfound purpose and appreciation for life. My daughter, Alessandra, and husband have a strengthened bond from all the combined traumatic experiences. Both Jacob and his big sister are the true heroes of the Morales-Biggs family! What happened to me affected them, and together we continue to grow!”
